ReelSmart Motion Blur
Overview
By automatically tracking every pixel, ReelSmart Motion Blur applies
more natural-looking motion blur with no effort!
- Computer Arts Magazine calls ReelSmart Motion Blur "a brilliant
plug-in which should be in every user's toolbox." (read the 5-star review).
- CreativeMac.com says ReelSmart Motion Blur "lives up to and
surpasses expectations, so we're giving it a Best Buy
recommendation." (read the review).
Automatically add more natural-looking motion blur to a sequence using
ReelSmart Motion Blur. Our tracking technology is at the heart of
ReelSmart Motion Blur, so there is no handwork involved. Of course you can
add as little or as much blurring as you need and even remove motion blur!
Finally, you can create very interesting effects by blurring one sequence
by using the motion from another.
Uses:
- reduce strobing in sequences. Particularly useful when frame rates
of video are changed after digitizing. ReelSmart Motion Blur has fewer
artifacts than other methods, such as frame blending.
- smooth the jerkiness of hand drawn and scanned animations
automatically.
- motion blur complex 3D animations when your 3D system takes too much
time. In many cases, ReelSmart Motion Blur will be much faster and just
as effective.
- motion blur one sequence using another sequence's motion for unique
effects. (see our Gallery for examples).
- sharpen image sequences by removing motion blur

ReelSmart Motion Blur Pro adds the following
features:
16 bits per channel processing for applications with 16
bit support.
Support for foreground and background separation using a
specified mask. ReelSmart Motion Blur then uses proprietary
filling and tracking techniques when working on the background
layer, even when it is obscured by the
foreground!
