Product Overview:

V-Ray® for SketchUp is a 3D rendering software that combines real-time and photorealistic rendering — all in SketchUp. From beginner to pro, Chaos® V-Ray has all the tools you need to create stunning architectural renders and animations.

New Features

V-Ray for SketchUp has a rich set of features, making high quality visualization fast and easy. Here are some of the new features:

Rendering

REAL-TIME RENDERING
With V-Ray Vision*, you can visualize your designs in real-time while you work in SketchUp. Move around your model, apply materials, set up lights and cameras—all in a live real-time view of your scene.
*V-Ray Vision for MacOS will be supported in an upcoming release.

CPU, GPU & HYBRID RENDERING
V-Ray comes with two powerful rendering engines. You can choose between super fast GPU and CPU or Hybrid rendering to best suit your project needs and requirements.

DENOISER
Remove noise and dramatically cut the render times. With V-Ray Denoiser, you can denoise each render element in post-production. And with the NVIDIA AI Denoiser, V-Ray delivers instant feedback with less noise, while you design interactively.

INTERACTIVE RENDERING
Render interactively while you design. Fine-tune lights and materials and see the results right away. View the render result directly in the SketchUp viewport.

RENDER ELEMENTS
Choose from many unique beauty, utility and matte passes to give you more control over your rendered images in compositing.

V-RAY SWARM
Powerful and scalable distributed rendering system that's simple and fast. Get an extra speed boost with V-Ray Render nodes.

CHAOS CLOUD
Rendering on the Cloud is just one click away.

See what's new.

When you're ready to create photorealistic renderings and animations, V-Ray does it all. And now, V-Ray 6 for SketchUp lets you do even more. Powerful new tools let you create detailed geometric patterns and beautiful custom skies. New and improved materials boost rendering speeds and realism. And cloud collaboration and Enscape compatibility bring teams together like never before.

Unify your workflow

At every stage of your project, from initial design to final delivery, V-Ray 6 for SketchUp has the tools you need to visualize and collaborate every step of the way.

Enscape to V-Ray compatibility

If you use Enscape with SketchUp, we've got great news for you. V-Ray 6 for SketchUp now reads Enscape scenes directly, including materials and lights, so you can design in real-time and then render with V-Ray when you’re ready to take your visualizations to the next level.

You get the best of both worlds with this new compatibility—the speed and simplicity of Enscape and the power and realism of V-Ray.

Review renders with anyone, anywhere.

Sharing renders is easy with Chaos Cloud Collaboration. Right from the frame buffer, you can upload V-Ray renders to the cloud and review them with anyone from anywhere. With cloud collaboration, you get feedback in one place so you can keep projects on track and get approvals faster.

Powerful new tools

Turn advanced 3D workflows into intuitive design work with powerful tools.

New & improved materials

More control and more realism than ever before.

Distance Texture

The Distance texture lets you control where materials are applied based on their distance to and from selected objects. For example, you could add gravel and grass next to asphalt depending on how far they are from the model of the street.
